15 August 2010  Congratulations to our five competent crew students who successfully completed their training last weekend and officially became the first 5 students to sail on the famous Intrepid after the whale breaching incident on the 18 July 2010. Well done to Naomi Kranhold, Simon Friend, Ross McCallum , Thomas Clark and Tatjana Moe. ( see our Gallery page for the latest pictures  & look at the News page for more information )

 The Cape Town Sailing Academy is a SA Sailing accredited Training School offering Internationally recognised sailing courses.

We offer Introduction to Sailing; Competent Crew; Day Skipper & Coastal Skipper Courses, as well as a Practical Sea Mileage Course and Competency in Single-Handed Sailing Techniques.See our Courses Page for all the upcoming courses! OR LET US TAILOR MAKE THE TIMES FOR ANY ACCREDITED SA SAILING COURSE TO SUIT YOU. Remember, once you have done a sailing course with us, it does not end there. We sail regularly and you are free to join us anytime to increase your sailing skills at no extra charge, even if it's only for a few hours  sailing during the week.

Charters: Sail in the Duncan Docks harbour area as you leave the Royal Cape Yacht Club, experience the V&A Waterfront by boat, or sail across Table Bay to Robben Island with Table Mountain as a spectacular backdrop.

Go o­n an intimate romantic sunset cruise and have sundowners anchored off Clifton or Granger Bay near Mouille Point watching the sunset. For those who have more time, sail to Hout Bay. Further a field lies Cape Point and Simonstown or sail up the west coast to Dassen Island and Saldanha Bay.

These are just a few of the many options open to those wanting to spend a few hours, a day or even a few days o­n board an ocean cruising yacht. Whether you are a novice and have never sailed, or want to learn the art of sailing, navigation and seamanship, or just want to do something different and spend a few hours or days o­n the water sailing in o­ne of the most beautiful cities and coastlines in the world, we can tailor a trip to suit your requirements and pocket.

We cater for singles, couples or small groups to a max. of 8 persons.

All our yachts are safe ocean cruisers & conform to the SAMSA and SA Sailing safety specifications with valid, up to date certificates of safety.
