The syllabus for the Yachtmaster Offshore course is similar to the Coastal Skippers course with some extras and the Yachtmaster Offshore course normally follows on from the Coastal Skippers course and the dates will be planned to suit the student. Minimum Requirement: a Coastal  Skipper Certificate, plus a minimum of 2500 miles logged in open sea.
Duration: normally three consecutive weekdays or once a week over three weeks depending on the students times etc.

NB. the requirements for this course are high with a pass mark of 85% required.You must know and understand the Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper syllabus ( both theory & practical aspects)

Cost : Yachtmaster Offshore -  R2800 per person.
Instructor to Student Ratio: Max. 1 : 4 or less.
