AUGUST 2026-- FISHERHAVEN...... Its been a very eventful 6 months to say the least. At the end of 2025 I decided to semi - retire and spend more time in Fisherhaven ( near Hermanus ) where I live and have had a property since 1990 and concentrate on more specific aspects of sailing instruction. Namely, focus on  Sailing Charters, Introduction to Sailing , Competent Crew/ Deckhand  courses and One - on - One  Sailing Instruction.( find more details on the Courses Page.)

I had started the Cape Town Sailing Academy in 2009 and felt it was time to simplify my life and hence the new name Cape Town Sailing with Ralph was born.

If you need to do a certified course  like Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper under the banner of SA Sailing I can certainly assist you in getting the qualification, but many clients just want to brush up on certain aspects of their sailing skills i.e. Docking or Close quarter handling of the boat etc. and dont want or need to do a full course.
